Thirst staff reports
After a successful first weekend in Westminster, the second part of the 2021 Colorado Music & Arts Festival is coming to Centennial Center Park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday August 28 and 29.
The event includes a juried art show, a classic car show, a custom motorcycle show and a family 5k run. There is also a flying disc dog show, with the famous pooches that fly through the stadium at halftime during Denver Broncos games.
The Taste of Denver Food Garden will include a variety of cruising and cold domestic and craft beers. And you can work off the beers or just challenge yourself with a putting contest and a U.S. Army pull-up and push-up contest.
The highlights of the festival, though, are the musical performances, including:
Anders Dredup, who performed on "The Voice” at 3 p.m. Saturday
Nashville rockers the Stone Senate at 5 p.m. Saturday
The Georgia Thunderbolts at 7 p.m. Saturday
The Colorado Ambassadors of Gospel at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Americana and outlaw country singer Jaime Wyatt at 3 p.m. Sunday
Country singer-songwriter Justin Wells at 5 p.m. Sunday
Texas Hill, a harmonic trio of acclaimed singers, at 7 p.m. Sunday
Pre-ordered online tickets cost only $10, and children under 12 can enter for free.
